Another inspiration from Cornwall Cam.

A great site if you like photos of Cornwall.

Hole in the Wall

This pastel is a test piece for trying out new paper - Clairefontaine Pastelmat. It is very good paper, much less dust and it blends well.

Box of Pastels

There are three trays of gorgeous pastels in this box.

Slavonian Grebe

I was so pleased with this one that I’ve treated myself to a new set of 72 pastels! Let’s hope I get some good results.

Millie

I started this cat four years ago when I first tried pastels but gave up because it was such a messy medium! Now I'm having another go and finished the cat which I'm quite pleased with, I think it might be one for the exhibition.

Firecrest

I can't believe it is so long since I posted a painting. I just lost the 'knack' with watercolour. I tried a couple of oils but that hurt my shoulder too much. Then I saw a pastel painting video on television and was inspired to unearth my pastels which I hadn't used for about four years. The first one I did was this firecrest and that has encouraged me to do some more.

Cockerel

I saw this cocky little chap strutting around a farmyard when I was sketching there one summer.
