It is with great sadness that I have to tell you all that Pam passed away on 13th June. This was the last picture I photographed for her to add to her blog. Usually Pam gave me the detail that she wanted for her picture and she named it but unfortunately she never got around to it. I have named it for her as I think it is quite fitting it is a male and female walking into the distance. I look at it and see her with her husband who passed away in 1994 walking hand in hand.
She loved her blog and she was amazed that people were interested in what she was painting.
A big thank you to everyone who followed her - you made an 89 year old lady very happy x

Irises
After the last two had been sold I painted this one and yes this one sold too! It is all very encouraging but I've still got to do one for the Exhibition.

December Challenge
Portreath Art Club has thought up this challenge to raise funds. Every month we are given a photograph which we can paint in any medium and any style. Before the exhibition in August the best one will be chosen and framed and sold by raffle. I didn't think I could do justice to the photograph so I tried a different interpretation.

Christmas 2014 update
In the past I have confined my blog to my paintings. As I have not posted anything for a while I would like to explain my absence and restart my blog. I have not had a very good year. I moved into residential care in May because I was physically unable to care for myself. I am very content here, still in the village where I have lived for thirteen years, and my daughter-in-law Sally-Ann lives just across the road. Her husband, my son Mike, died in June and she has been a great comfort to me. I did manage to show some pictures at the August exhibition of the local art club, and sold two. The art club has made me an honorary member, I am the eldest in age and longest serving member. I hope with the help of Sally-Ann to post a few paintings in the near future. Best wishes to you all for a Happy Christmas.

New Watercolour Canvas
These two pictures are painted on commercially prepared canvas and then sprayed with a fixative. They do not need to be put behind glass and so can be hung directly on to a wall.
This was associated with fertility. Women who wanted babies and farmers who wanted a good harvest would climb through the hole.
This was a burial chamber.

Helford River
Only about eight weeks to go until our Annual Art Exhibition! This will be one of my exhibits. I took this photo from Cornwall Cam and I hope I have caught its air of tranquillity.
