Simple Line Drawing and Contour

Now that I can't get to art classes and can only get to Art Club when the weather is dry, I find I need some incentive to keep on painting.  So I have enrolled with a "Drawing for Beginners" correspondence course.  This is my submitted homework for Lesson One - Simple Line Drawing and Contour.

Bude Canal

It is nearly Exhibition time again - 5th -11th August in Portreath.  This year we have also been offered a new venue - The Heritage Centre, Redruth - from 23rd July for five weeks.  Although there is only room for one painting each in Redruth, I may be lucky and sell something so must have a back-up.  This means I should have at least 15 paintings ready to show for both exhibitions and this one plus the next three are the first four I've prepared.

Nearly There

Since I had a knee replacement last November I have not done much painting, recovery has been painfully slow.

I loved the photo that Sally-Ann took on Carn Brea hill and used it to produce this painting.
